Quest runs are pretty self-explanatory, and are usually tailored towards the needs of the group. Asides from that, there's the dark keeper whose key and corresponding coffer can contain mats that some people need to fulfill their librams (head and leg enchants).
One of which is the vault boss drops Boreal Mantle, which is frost mage pre bis. There are a couple reasons you could have for wanting to visit the vault. There's also the Ban'thok sash which drops from the ogre mage boss, which is a belt with some spell damage as well as 1% spell hit. Savage Gladiator Chain which drops from Gorosh the Dervish is an epic chestpiece that is bis for warriors for a very long time.
The aim is to kill Emp as quickly and thus as frequently as possible.Īrena runs don't necessarily require that someone has the key, but given you're going into the Arena looking for a couple very specific drops that drop from bosses that may not even spawn for you, efficiency is key (ha ha). Between the two of them, Moira and Emp also drop some very potent pre-bis healing pieces. People like these runs because Emp himself can drop a couple fantastic items, those being Hand of Justice and Ironfoe. Emp runs usually take you through the Grim Guzzler and via the seven dwarves event before you get to the Lyceum, Magmus and the Emperor himself.Ī lava run is a run that'll usually contain 2-3 boss kills (not including Moira), these require at least one person in the group to have the Shadowforge Key. Of the ones you mentioned, an Emp run is basically where you head for the emperor but don't skip as many bosses as you would on a lava run.
